Kibler’s is a preorder-only comic book and graphic novel store in Houston, Texas, operating online at kiblers.shop. This policy explains what information we collect when you shop with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions about anything here: email us at info@kiblers.shop.
What we collect
- Order information — your name, shipping and billing addresses, email address, and phone number if you give us one. We need this to take your order, ship your books, and contact you about them.
- Account information — if you register for an account (required for held “pile” shipments), we store your username, email address, order history, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
- Payment information — payments are processed by Square (credit/debit cards and Cash App Pay). Your card details go directly to Square; we never receive or store your full card number.
- Messages — anything you send us by email or through our social accounts, so we can answer you.
- Basic technical information — like most websites, our server keeps standard logs. We use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool that counts page views in aggregate; it does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites.
How we use it
- To process and fulfill your orders, including creating shipping labels through Pirate Ship and handing packages to USPS or UPS.
- To email you about your orders — confirmations, tracking when an order ships, and a notice when a local pickup is ready.
- To run held shipments (your pile) and provide customer service, and to refund you in the rare case we cannot fulfill an order.
- To prevent fraud and keep the store secure, and to keep the accounting and tax records the law requires.
What we share
Only what is needed to run the store: Square receives your payment details to process payment; Pirate Ship and the carriers (USPS and UPS) receive your name and address to deliver your order; and our email provider delivers order emails. We do not sell your personal information to anyone. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies
The store uses the cookies WooCommerce needs to work — keeping items in your cart, checking you out, and keeping you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. Account information is kept until you ask us to delete your account; some order records may still need to be retained after that for the legal reasons above.
Your choices
Email info@kiblers.shop to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to close your account. Order and pickup emails are transactional — they are how we tell you about books you have paid for — and any marketing email we ever send will include an unsubscribe link.
Security and children
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, though no online system can be perfectly secure. The store is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
